Juggling Tracker is made by Jonas Umlauft. This page explains what each Juggling Tracker app does with your data. In short: your juggling history stays on your own watch and phone, nothing needs an account, and the phone apps send anonymous usage statistics and crash reports only while you allow it. Questions: info@juggling-tracker.com.
Garmin watch app
- Data collection: The app uses your watch's accelerometer to detect juggling catches. This motion data is processed in real time on the watch. In Record mode, the raw accelerometer samples of a run are kept on the watch until they are sent to your phone, together with the catch count you confirm.
- Personal information: The app does not collect, store or transmit personal information such as your name, email address, location or heart rate.
- Data storage and transmission:
- Session results (ball count, catch counts, run durations and the Regularity score) are held on the watch until they are sent. If you choose Continue later, or the watch closes the app during a session, the session is kept on the watch until you continue, sync or discard it.
- Session results and Record mode runs are sent over Bluetooth, through the Garmin Connect app, to the Juggling Tracker app on your phone.
- With Garmin activity switched on in Settings (the default on watches that support it), each juggling session is also saved as a Garmin activity named "Juggling session", with its duration, the ball count and your average catches per run. Like any activity you record, Garmin syncs it to your Garmin Connect account under Garmin's own privacy policy. Switch it off to save no activity.
- Third-party services: The watch app uses no analytics or advertising services.
- No cloud storage: The watch app uploads nothing to servers of its own.
Wear OS watch app
- Data collection: The app uses your watch's accelerometer to detect juggling catches. This motion data is processed in real time on the watch. In Record mode, the raw accelerometer samples of a run are kept on the watch until they are sent to your phone, together with the catch count you confirm.
- Personal information: The app does not collect, store or transmit personal information such as your name, email address, location or heart rate.
- Data storage and transmission:
- Session results (ball count, catch counts, run durations and the Regularity score) are held on the watch until they are sent. If you choose Continue later, the session is kept on the watch until you continue, sync or discard it.
- Session results and Record mode runs are sent to the Juggling Tracker Android app on your paired phone over the Wear OS connection provided by Google Play services.
- Third-party services: The watch app uses no analytics or advertising services.
- No cloud storage: The watch app sends data only to the Juggling Tracker app on your paired phone.
Apple Watch app
- Data collection: The app uses your watch's motion sensor to detect juggling catches. This motion data is processed in real time on the watch. In Record mode, the raw motion samples of a run are kept on the watch until they are sent to your iPhone, together with the catch count you confirm.
- Health: The app runs a workout session while you juggle so the motion sensor keeps running with your wrist down. With Health workout switched on in Settings (the default), each juggling session is saved to the Health app as a workout ("Other"), with its duration, the ball count and your average catches per run. The app reads nothing from the Health app. You can turn this off in the app's Settings or revoke the permission in the Health app at any time.
- Data storage and transmission: Session results and Record mode runs are sent to the Juggling Tracker app on your paired iPhone over Apple's watch connection. If you choose Continue later, the session is kept on the watch until you continue, sync or discard it.
- Third-party services: The watch app uses no analytics or advertising services.
- No cloud storage: The watch app sends data only to the Juggling Tracker app on your paired iPhone and, if switched on, the Health app on your devices.
Android app
- Data collection: The app uses your phone's accelerometer to detect juggling catches when you start a phone session. This motion data is processed in real time on the phone.
- Personal information: The app does not ask for your email address, location or heart rate. If you enter a juggler name for Record mode recordings, it is stored on your phone and written into the recording files.
- Data storage and transmission:
- Session results (catch counts, durations and Regularity) and Record mode recordings are stored on your phone.
- They leave your phone only when you back them up, export, share or email them yourself, to the destination you choose.
- Third-party services: The app uses Google Firebase Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics to understand how the app is used and to fix crashes. These receive usage events (for example that a session was imported or a phone session started, with its ball count, number of runs and total catches), crash reports, and device information such as the device model, Android version and an app instance identifier. This is on by default and can be turned off under Settings > Privacy > "Share app activity and crash reports". Google's privacy policy: policies.google.com/privacy.
- Bluetooth and location: The app uses Bluetooth permissions to communicate with Garmin watches. On Android 11 and older, Android requires the Location permission for Bluetooth; the app does not read or store your location.
- No cloud storage: Apart from the Firebase services above, the app uploads nothing to external servers. Your juggling history stays on your phone unless you back it up or export it.
iPhone app
- Data collection: The app uses your iPhone's motion sensor to detect juggling catches when you start a phone session. This motion data is processed in real time on the iPhone.
- Personal information: The app does not ask for your email address, location or heart rate. If you enter a juggler name for Record mode recordings, it is stored on your iPhone and written into the recording files.
- Data storage and transmission:
- Session results (catch counts, durations and Regularity) and Record mode recordings are stored on your iPhone.
- They leave your iPhone only when you back them up, share or email them yourself, to the destination you choose.

These receive usage events (for example that a session was imported or a phone session started, with its ball count, number of runs and total catches), crash reports, and device information such as the device model, iOS version and an app instance identifier. This is on by default and can be turned off under Settings > Privacy > "Share app activity and crash reports". Google's privacy policy: policies.google.com/privacy.
- Bluetooth: The app uses Bluetooth to receive sessions from Garmin watches through the Garmin Connect app.
- No cloud storage: Apart from the Firebase services above, the app uploads nothing to external servers. Your juggling history stays on your iPhone unless you back it up or share it.
